Description

This has "almost" nothing to do with Star Wars... Claire walks the streets of Hillville with her "great grandmother," the seemingly ageless Miss Bruxal Strong, the city's present "Dread Mistress." Someday, this mantle will fall to Claire, and she's soaking up a little wisdom. (Meanwhile, Fawn gawks in the background, and decides that Claire is dressed like an idiot.) Claire and her nana discuss the issue of Naomi living in the "transparent closet." Miss Strong advises Claire to play along with the charade for the time being, and if Naomi ever opens up to her about it, it will represent a milestone in trust. Claire would be advised to cultivate loyalty in Naomi, as this will be very valuable in the future. Miss Strong also imparts some general purpose insights apropos to a Dread Mistress: - Never use your power for purely selfish purposes. If you do, the public will turn on you. If you use your resources to help the town, you will have their respect. If you help an individual, they will owe you. - Never make a promise you can't fulfill. - Never make a threat you can't, or won't follow through on. - Register as a bounty hunter, the sooner the better. This gives you a little more latitude if things go awry. - Do not "trust but verify." Trust, but have a contingency plan. - Do not "speak softly and carry a big stick." A sword is much better. - Family is the most important thing. - The second most important thing is to continue building a town where children do not have to be afraid. - Keep growing your hair out.

Great job on this one. I like your cameo appearance in the shop window, just like Alfred Hichcock. I don't know where you get it all, but I fully agree with Faemike55 on the insights. If more people were like Ms. Strong, the world would be a much better place. And being visible, a bit odd and mysterious adds a lot of weight. I don't know where this series is going, but I do really appreciate the images and stories around Ms. Strong. Keep up the good work. The image work here is cool, almost like from a Hairy Potted film (misspelled on purpose!) :-)

Harry Potter meets the undertaker? The dread mistress's advices seem to work at scholl as well. BTW, great render!
