Description

MY father was cook on a ship that sailed to America in WW2, in order not to let Hitler seize the ship. Though the Americans didnt want to use it for a while, because Denmark was a little too fast surrendering to the Germans, as if we were friendlies to Hitler. That mistake was later corrected and they were interned in Boston for one and a half year. The crew were not allowed to leave the ship, but my father was allowed, because he had a cousin who had immigrated to America years before. And today we still have family over there :) When my father came home, he brought this Silver Dollar and many years later, he gave it to me :) Well, this had a scent of History, didnt it? Happy Birthday Dave and Many Many more. :) Have all a beautiful day. This morning began with bright sunshine and it is still there :) Thank you for viewing and commenting.:)))

Wonderful capture of this old and well-traveled coin! Silver dollars are not all that common these days, and I'm sure this one is worth more than its face weight. Happy birthday to Dave!
