Description

So we were driving along on the Saturday morning game drive In Thornybush when suddenly this beautiful male lion appeared out of nowhere. The Canadian Partner who was with us did utter quite a few four letter words! :) The ranger told us that this guy left his pride to go fight off a lone male who was trying to seduce his ladies. He was quite thin but in good condition. He proceeded walking in the road infront of us for a long time and stopped ever so often to mark his territory by spraying urine on trees and bushes. I tell you - seeing these beasts in the wild gives you a thrill that very few other things can match! Such an impressing shot, Carin. And how dangerous his look! Recently I was in a safari park, and saw the male mating with the female. Afterward, the female was terribly angry at 'the culprit', I believe that is a normal behavior in these animals.
