Description
A day late, and a pound short.
Great Scott, if I had known about this earlier I would have baked a cake...like that's going to happen.
Anyway, this is my belated contribution to the birthday commemoration of the Grand Doyenne of Renderosity, mistress of all that is worth photographing in her own exquisite way, be it floral, arachnids, her doggies, insects, clothing, material, millinery, padlocks, fungi, manhole covers, taillights, sculpture, landscape, oceanscape, lichen, perfume containers, tattoos, men at work, the elderly in rest homes, doodling, et al.
It was a difficult choice, considering her many interests, but I opted for these pics this time around.
So, I hope you had a good one, Andrea.
Ta-ta.

My goodness, what an eclectic display of subjects you've collected for Andrea's birthday dedi! You do get around, don't you? LOL! Excellent shots all, in your usual superb fashion, and that is a real excess of riches in the padlock shot, isn't it? If one is good, then lots more must be the best. And great find on the mushrooms!

Great collection of shots.... looks like that one needs a few more locks though!

Quite an eclectic collection :) and a very nice dedication.

Fabulous collection and an apt dedication, well done!! The chain of locks was a great find. I have seen this arrangement too, so everyone has his own lock and key making a chain all can open if they remember which lock their key fits!!!!

great collection for one of our best artists, and a fine representative sample of what she does. I'm sure, as you say, that it wasn't easy for you to pick just '5'. But you picked as good a 5 as anyone could. And your text said, in one paragraph, more than I'd have said in 6: You capsulized the multi-faceted eye of one of our favorite people on RR. (If you'd baked a cake, btw, you'd have the one advantage that no one would have to eat it---they'd just have to look at it. I baked a cake 40 years ago, and as far as I know none of the recipients are still alive...) Love all the shots, and they're also fine shots in their own right, The big close-ups (1, 2 and 5) are commanding---you and Andrea are two of the only people here who can make a sewer cover sing; and the tree trunk is an object of real beauty. The mannequin shot is highly complex, packed with so many contrasts, not the least of which is a bunch of fine reflections---and reflections, at that, that Andrea definitely doesn't get in the UK! (With palm trees and all...) And the padlock---what's to say I haven't said in many places before? Another cacophony of massed forms, lines, glorious rust and jaundiced yellows, with a nice 'sag' as the chain winds around a corner, with big poles shooting through the cables, and all that congestion---a padlock convention. A fine collection for Andrea, and it don't matter if yer late (as we say here in the midwest), you got the lady down pat. First rate dedi, Harry.
