Description

Bryce7.1Pro/Photoshop The serenity of the canyon is shattered by the roar of engines powering at full throttle and the flash of metal as two fighters race through the rugged trough in the landscape,recklessly throwing caution to the wind as they twist and turn with the terrain. This was essentially a terrain creation and atmo exercise...two custom generated terrains create the canyon,the background one is set to planetary resolution,the foreground gigantic resolution.Numerous terrain clipping,paint effects and erosion techniques were employed...the material is one of David Brinnen's excellent Terrain ProMaterials(in my opinion the best set of terrain materials for Bryce).I modified the rock material,changing the colour palette and the bump.The sky,light and atmo are all custom...tweaks in the RGB settings of the Atmosphere section of the SkyLab were used to create the haze,and the sky was used as IBL to light the scene(sun enabled after setting IBL). Ships are one of my Bryce7 models.Image was rendered in Premium with True Ambiance and TA Scattering Correction added. Postwork consisted of a slight levels adjustment,contrails,signature and resizing.Thanks for viewing and any comments!

You've captured the rush of the craft maneuvering the stoney maze perfectly. Terrains and atmosphere show beautiful technique - and you are spot on, David Brinnen's are absolutely the best set of Bryce materials. Very fine work on this. 5+.
