TIPPI Straight from doarte’s MADHOUSE archives … a first you’ve never viewed: Alfred Hitchcock’s artist sketch book collection of possible settings and TIPPI HEDREN’s costumes for his famous flick … ‘THE BIRDS’. Rumor has it, Hitchcock almost traded in his addiction to beautiful blonds and summer scenes for an autumn death to set the mood for the monster movie. For those who’ve seen the film you know ‘Hitch’ sacked the witch’s wig and semi Sci-Fi costume to return to a lovely lady in a sunlit season and let flights of monstrous birds assume the title roles of villains. Brilliant work as always as the MADHOUSE once again goes above and beyond to please it's fans. I love this colorful costume that TIPPI came up with, and think it would've been perfect for the Birds.
