Description

By Christian Lacroix. "A fresh, intensive floral bouquet. A bright citrusy and aquatic fountain in the top notes: bergamot, mandarin, violet, lilac, gardenia, cyclamen and tuberose. Warm sandalwood, cedar, precious iris oil and musk leave a long and sensual trail. " The bottle is very beautiful , but strange for a floral scent. I have two other different images of this miniature bottle http://www.flickr.com/photos/16054928@N07/8599869235/in/set-72157625312096964 which has a link to my previous RR upload

I agree ... a strange bottle for a floral! None of the ingredients seemed the least aquatic to me, but that's okay ... so much of perfumery passes me by. Regardless of the marketing, this is a great shot. Love the angle and the colors!

If it smells as good as the bottle looks it must be good.

OMG, stunningly exquisite in this awesome portrait, with the red an elysium of elegance. But probably too rich and provocative for my blood.

Very elegant. Even the box is beautiful.

Probably the worst design for a bottle IMHO but who cares. I guess it just does not seem at all functional, but then neither does the blend of odors. I think it's missing oil of cauliflower, but just ignore the mad ravings of this old geezer as being nothing more than a sparrow fart, lol.

LOL @Wayne But it is a nice bottle though, and you lighting here is moody and special. Nice one!

Come to think of it, it has similarities to 'alanwilliams' avatar ... ;) I personally love this bottle shape, very handy ... and the composition, as a close-up, does look very attractive. BB

the other two examples make this seem really unusual. The flickr version is more traditional, with your layered backgrounds (layered by hue and its edges), and beautiful variations of your golds and gold-combos. The earlier RR version uses a gold-ish background---the same as the flickr, only unprocessed?---and is a study in the shape, its comparison to a real shell, and of the bottle contrasted with its box. But in this version, you've closed-in on the bottle, and its become a big beached whale, the previous RR bottle giving way to the bulgy bottle as a whole. Plus we see the perfume bubbles and bubbles inside the glass, closeup...It's a bulbous affair, reds predominating over golds here; and the fabric-y nature of the box comes forth much more, too, as does the label as contrast (ie, because it's white). 3 very different studies of the same bottle; and all fascinating, exotic. You know, some of your perfume-studies look like exotic creatures. This shot makes it seem a benign monster slumbering after a very large meal. I know you give the fragrance description, and I know that's part of your experience. But since I don't have much sensitivity to perfumes, I mainly concentrate on the image. I know there's an ancient art to perfumes, I just don't know the art well. As an image, this is very sensual.
