Description

I recently got a new camera, a Canon Powershot SX50 HS. It's got a great zoom, especially for a camera that's halfway between a pocket camera and a digital SLR. And it's great for taking portrait shots of the flock of blackbirds that gathers around my backyard feeder. This one is a young female, not quite a year old yet. She's had her first brood this year and I'm sure she appreciates the raisins I put out--a much as her little brain can appreciate anything, I'm sure. Anyway, I hope you enjoy her picture.

She does indeed look very young to have a brood of her own. It is a lovely portrait though:-)
