Description

Maybe Y'all can cheer me up a bit. I've been in sort of a foul mood this last week or so. Waited, impatiently I might add, for Poser Pro 2014 to come out so I could use it (the fitting room especially) on a project I'm working. WELL, it came out, I spent my saved up quarters, dimes, nickles and a few THOUSAND pennies, and bought it, installed it, took some tutorials and quite honestly am enjoying creating my (not for Renderosity) creations. Uh, not because they're "bad" in a societal way, but "bad" in "they ain't up to par for me. (Yet). That said, I thought I had something really good and thought, "This will look good rendered in VUE!" Went out to my VUE 8 Esprit and happily set up the scene, and went to import my Poser Pro 2014 Scene, and voila', got the "Unable to import ..." block. E-mailed e-on software and they replied (quickly I might add), "Poser Pro 2014 isn't supported by VUE 8." AAARRRGGHHH! Oh well, I have eaten enough cheeseburgers, chicken strips and pizzas to have about 10 pounds of spare change again. Either I'm eating out too much lately or I'm finding way too many coins in the parking lot. I'll go with the latter, yeah, that's it, people literally throwing money away (sounds good as I nosh on this Quarterpounder). So, it looks like more biking to wear of the quarterpounders and weigh in my coins to (shudder) upgrade to VUE (what iteration are they now, 10, 11, 4632?) and be done with it. In the mean time (ain't they all mean these days)... I present the following: I just recently realized my obsession with Aliens and UFO's (see my previous Merced UFO). Never believed in them, but when I saw one boucoup and several years ago...It's been fogging my memory banks. This one I did in VUE 8 Esprit with a model I downloaded originally for Poser uh...6 or was that 7 or...and realized it was a vob (VUE object for you non VUE'rs out there), but I lost the textures somewhere between PC changes. So's, I made them up! lol Enjoy and if you're in my neck of the woods (Central Alabama), toss a few coins in the parkin' lot, I'll find 'em. Disclaimer: I promised my wife I'd not take from the dinner table or the closets to enjoy my hobbies (that's why I don't golf). Actually, it works pretty well. The only thing I've disappointed her on was obtaining a "rare" 66 Ranchero I'm rebuilding. Same criteria, 'xcept I told her I'd not built another hot rod (I've built 3 so far) unless I have a running engine and pulling drivetrain. WELL, it cranks and has no brakes. It's sorta kinda runnin', ain't it? Enjoy. I certainly enjoyed creating it for viewing here.

Thank you. I'm not even sure where I got the sphere. It may have come with VUE 8. But it was solid white and I simply added different materials until it was something I liked, added glow to the antenna's and there you have it. Isn't going through (and discovering) old objects fun?

Well done, I like the light of the sun. Maybe you could roll the spheres pitch a bit to add dynamic. Just an idea...
