Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

Yosemite Falls, but always gets back up, with no loss of activity. Outstanding sense of depth in this top notch pic, Marilyn.

This is brilliant! The postwork does make it really dramatic, which it should be given the natural beauty of this spot. Well done you!!!

Great capture – I have never seen it from this angle. I love how it looks up the canyon!!

the falls are striking enough, almost a dream back there (because of your settings or postwork or both). And beautiful how it dissolves into the sky too. But then you have that big bold blast of a tree in the foreground, all black and in silhouette, like a big crashing Beethoven chord to give the whole shot its affirmative "I AM". You have a way with these juxtapositions, you just put things next to other things so that they're wholly natural, yet a total surprise. After Ansel Adams, one always wonders if there are new views of Yosemite; but this one, like your others here, is wholly new. A real knockout of a shot. Ba-da-BOOM!
