Description

It is such a joy to have the insects back in force after the long cold spring. To misquote Samuel Rogers: "The bees' hum soothes my drowsy ear". BTW I remember being given this as an example of a transferred epithet, rather early in my school life at about 8 years old. I can't necessarily remember what I watched on the the box last night, but I shall never forget that!

Wonderful shot of a bumble bee, they are always welcome in the garden, it's interesting when they get drunk, they end up bumping into you and crashing to the ground like a distressed helicopter, to sleep off the effects before setting off again.
