Lead my sword ... into the wind
Lo, there do I see my father...
Lo, there do I see my mother, and my sisters, and my brothers...
Lo, there do I see the line of my people. Back to the beginning..
Lo, they do call to me....They bid me take my place among them...
In the halls of Valhalla ... Where the brave may live .... forever.
The viking prayer ... according to the 1999 movie.. The 13th warrior.
I never saw the movie when it was released in 1999...
I was too busy during those years, running my little computer company, and earning money #:o)
But after seeing the movie clips in the video, linked below..
I know for sure, that i simply have to see the movie..
Inspiration for my image, is also from a song about Norse Mythology.
I always liked Norse mythology..
And i have viking blood in my veins... so it is a home run for me :)
My ancestors were barbarians.. no doubt about it... pure butchers..
And i have a feeling, that it is portrayed in the movie.
The song that lead me to the movie clip...
Is a song by Manowar.. from their 2002 album... Warriors of the world.

In norse mythology, warriors believe that an honorable death, on the battle field..
Will provide the dead warrior, with eternal life.
That they will be reborn, to live forever, beside Odin's throne, in Valhalla.

Fantastic work as always Lars, and this one hits close to home for me. The 13th Warrior is one of my all time favorite movies, and a movie that most people have not heard of. It was one of Antonio Banderas first features I'd seen, and one of his best. What I remember most was how many moving and dramatic moments there were from start to finish.
