Sleipnir - Carry we, who die in battle Carry we, who die in battle Over land and sea... Across the rainbow bridge, to Valhalla... Odin is waiting for me... Recently, i stumbled upon a song called..Sleipnir. And i kinda fell for the video and the subject of the song. The song is about norse mythology. I never heard any songs about norse mythology. So it was a nice surprise to find one song about the subject. Here is a cool video with stunning computer animations,and a great version of the song: Click here for a great song and video. Another version in case of youtube rubbish: Or click here to hear the song. Norse mythology... Since i am from same the part of the world, as norse mythology. I felt inspired by the song and subject. Despite the fact that i hate all war and violence.. And always have done, and will hate war and violence. :) ... But still.. The video and the song is great... Sleipnir... was Odin's 8 legged steed. The fastest horse in Asgard. Odin had many functions as a god, in asgard. He was the war god, and the death god. The warriors that died an honorable death, on the battlefields of the 9 worlds. Would be transported to Valhalla, by Odin, on his horse, Sleipnir. Valhalla was a kind of heaven, for the bravest warriors that died in honor, on the field of glory. So the image i made in Daz/Photoshop, is a scene, where a dying warrior.. Wait for Odin riding on Sleipnir, to come for him, and take him to Valhalla. And i really think the song is well composed. It is the dying warrior, singing the song, according to the lyrics. A nice touch, and way of thinking. I am still messing with VUE scenes and renders, but i often bang my head against the wall. Because my computer hardware is a bit to tiny, to deal with bug VUE scenes. Thanks for any comments and or faves.

a scene right out of a book. the drama and emotion comes through with the background, flames and that wonderful horse. this is an image that should hang on a wall where it can be gazed at every day. bravo! well done!
