Description

Summer is definitely here! Lately it has been particularly hot in the southwestern USA. I saw a news report saying, "These tourists in Death Valley are really struggling today." Okay, I can understand why people might want to take a vacation in the desert. But... when the air is 125F/52C, and the pavement is hot enough to melt your tires, and merely TOUCHING anything on the ground will BURN your skin within seconds, you are a complete fool to choose that moment to visit Death Valley! Go back in October. "But it's a dry heat!" Yeah, and so is an oven. The distinction between the two is getting blurred. Keep cool, cats!

reminds me of Tombs' remark about Crematoria: "If I owned this place and Hell, I'd rent this place out and live in Hell!"

Very poignant indeed. Here (south Sweden) it's typical Swedish summer - overcast, nearly daily rain (and same all nights), cool to cold. We could sure make a temporary exchange with the poor folks in the sweltering south-west USA. Nice job with the image. Keep up the good work! :-)

LOL...I never understood why anyone would go to DEATH VALLEY in the summer (or why it's even allowed)
