Description
Captured 7/1/13, early on a cloudy morning, next to a church a little over a mile from my undomesticated domicile.
First of all, this is not the original, which is brighter. Because of my addiction to horror movies, and for the spooky nature of the subject matter, I decided to do some postwork on it for this haunting effect. I may display the original later, accompanied by more variations.
Also, oddly, these trees usually have nice broad leaves this time of year. Although located on church grounds, is there a demonic presence at work?
Halloween's Michael Myers was the tree surgeon on this one.
Check it out full size.
Ta-ta, and have a nice day.

Really neat looking tree here, and the post-work is most definitely hitting the spot that you wished to achieve! Lovely atmosphere and mood! Well done, my Friend!

Jocko500: the environmental wackos are afraid of Michael Myers.

Great colors in the sky and on the ground give it a more haunting realism . Looks like a scary place. Nice post work. :-)

Wow, that's an amazing tree; it looks quite old. Excellent shot, Harry, and while there are some leaves it certainly looks like it's being punished for something. Maybe it has an infestation of something? And no, I didn't get the bot about this upload. My bots are greatly reduced for some reason lately.

I love the spooky postwork! The ghostly white of the tree trunks, and red tints on the ends of the cut branches and across the grass make it a scene perfect for a horror film. The front tree is both magnificent and threatening, while the other trees have a dessicated, sickly look. I like the colors of which give the image a surreal look. Excellent capture and postwork!
