My name is Tara, and I was born and raised in Washington State.
Â
In 2010 I married Bill (bmac62) and retired ... two of the best choices I ever made! :)
Â
In March, 2013, we sold our home in Washington and went on the road in our RV full time. What a blast! There is so much world out there to see!
After traveling around the West for a few years, we got rid of the motorhome and are now spending winters in deep-south Texas and summers in Washington State. Spring and fall finds us visiting whichever place strikes our fancy at the time!

I love the contrasts here with the stone structure of Stonehenge in its prime, the shadowy figure, and the turbines in the background. A wonderful visual treat, Tara!

It is very nice to see how the real Stonehenge might have looked. The real one is on the top of a hill and not as this one is!

Just BRILLIANT! I love it.

The real one also has an A-road right next to it. Can't believe that was allowed to be built (the road, that is!).

Great and mysterious capture

T, you know me, I don't often get words with posts. This makes me spew many words. The silhouette looks like one of the characters from the illustration representing evolution the juxtaposition between the seemingly old structure and the news windmills in the background is very interesting. I also look stripes of color through the portals on the ground behind. Strong geometry of stones flowing smooth curves of the landscape in the background also are quite enjoyable.

Very cool shadowplay, like something De Chirico might have come up with if he was a modern day photographer...

How very cool! I like the view of those windmills behind the stones. Lucky you being out and about with the whole country at your disposal!

way cool shot; the man and the turbines just add to the interest; I didn't know there was anything like this up there.

For me, this pic one is very interesting. A long-forgotten world combined with new technology (in the background) and in the middle of the HUMAN as a link. Pfotografisch excellent as the man comes out of the shadows. Reminds me of evolution! GREAT composition! Probably you have not had at the shooten such thoughts. Often, one is surprised at the look afterwards the images themselves. So it happens to me sometimes.

Spooky looking figure indeed! But look!!!!! The blight of the dreaded wind farm smears itself across the land and trashes the picture! Happens SO often here now.. Sad! So Sad! Rob
