Zan's Prehistoric World Narrative: It must be noted that Zan is currently the only demon in resident at Spirit City and, of course, the only demon student attending the Junior High Academy. Several hours before the big school play Fox found himself rushing to make Zan a new costume as the Principal had called and explained that Zan's current costume couldn't be used due to the schools fire code. Zan had been very upset over the incident but quickly forgot it when he received such high praise for his rendition of 'Demon Slain." There wasn’t a dry eye in the audience, faces were pale from joy, and some had to rush out of the theater holding their hands over their mouths as they could not contain their shouts of praise. And yet others fainted from the performance and had to be carried out of the school theater. One woman even called Zan a living horror. Zan was very honored at the compliment. After the play the school principal told Fox never to allow Zan to read Demon Poetry out loud again. Zan understood completely. The other students needed to have a chance to excel as well. Zan was a very happy demon for weeks after as girls, and more then a few boys would break down and cry when they saw Zan coming down the hallway. Demon Slain By the Poet Malevolent IV. Never again shall I know the honor to plunge my sword through thy chest. Thou hast fallen before me demon slain. I shall show thee the greatest of honors and crush your house and cut your kin away as the chaff in the wind. I will drive your children burning into the sea and the creatures of the deep will drag them down and their bones will rest in the cold for eternity. I shall drink your blood from your skull and give tribute as you burn eternal. For thou art my, Demon Slain.
