Zan's Prehistoric World Narrative: “I have created fire!” Zan shouted at the stars. “I started the fire,” Zam replied. “We have created fire,” Zan shouted to whatever stars might be listening. “You wouldn’t get off the rock to help find firewood,” Zam corrected. “I am going to put rocks in my brother’s boots while he sleeps!” Zan continued his shouting at the sky. “No you won’t, you would have to get off the rock to find them and you’re afraid there are snakes down there,” Zam said, knowing this was about to become his brother’s favorite way to pass time. “Dinosaur Snack,” Zan retorted. “Sulfur brains,” Zam snapped back. “Cave dweller… “Horn head… “Rock muncher… “Lizard skin… “Knuckle dragger… “Claw toes… The insults lasted long into the night until the boy’s fell asleep.
