Description
An alchemist in his study. I am actually still working on this image, but this "test render" came out quite nicely and I decided to post it. I am still fine tuning materials and lighting and I am also still planning to add some elements. The camera setup will also likely change. Anyway, the idea was to show a fantasy style alchemist in his study. For the overall feel I am leaning more towards painting than total realism.

The scenework is fantastic. Very detailed and well done. I know how after doing a big scene like that I want to show off all my work. In this scene there wouldn't be that much light. Even with it being daylight, there appears to be only one small window. That and the candles are all the light that should be lighting up the scene, and candles don't really give off much ambient light. If the scene were darker it would be more dramatic and realistic.
