Description

Reproduction ME-262 "Schwalbe" (German for "Swallow") taking off at the CWH airshow back in June. Certainly a treat to see & heard some planes from "the other side"! At the time, this was owned & operated by the Military Aviation Museum in Virginia. I understand that since then, most or all of their collection has been put up for sale - including the Mosquito! I hope all these rare birds find good homes, and the new owners continue to share them with the public.

Very cool shot, like the exhaust fumes you can see. Bet it sounded great too.

excellent capture. I actually took pictures of one in Dallas at the local air museum, but the weather was very foggy with rain

One of the first jet fighters to come into production I believe. A rare sight to see it flying and a great capture.
