LOL! You do find the most amazing things to photograph, Harry. I'm not sure about mouth-watering, but it certainly is a great composition. What is this fascinating object in real life, when it's not having its photo taken by the master neighborhood photographer?

Where's the pepperoni ? Appears to be a "chain post" of some sort. Nice capture on this rustic texture and colors. Well focused too.

Harry, I'm suddenly called away, so I'll return when I get back, this evening, that's a promise. But I'll end this 'half' session with this knockout shot, which I loved the moment it went up. I figured out what it was before you showed the larger view, the next day, because I've attempted shots like this several times, just with little to no success. This shot has terrific clarity, in your face decay, sharpness and contrast in the pole-top and chain, and the appropriate fuzziness of the background, which allows the chain and post to stand out. Not to mention that V composition, lined-up with the ground, and cutting right into us. (I also like that we get to see your shoes, lol! Those are your shoes, I assume---either that, or someone ran front of your lens just as you were shooting!) I agree with Denise entirely, both on the fascinating things you find to shoot, your composition, and you being a master photographer. It really does look like a sausage pizza; but even if it's not a sausage pizza (I hope not, in case someone takes a bite), it's sheer fascination to view because of the boldness and clarity of that pole-top. Wonderful decay-detail...And you found---among many poles on your walks---a fine contrast between pole-top and chain, since the chain has rusts and browns, which set off the yellows and beiges of the pole-top. Again, I look for dramatic shots when I shoot, but I'm still learning to find the drama in front of my eyes: Shots like this prove that the shot is in front of one's eyes. Totally out of the ordinary, yet in the midst of a totally ordinary sight. Terrific. With fascinating detail and lots of fun. I'll be back tonight, I promise. But this is a great place to end for now...

I love this shot! Pizza (of any variety) on a chain is not the most utilitarian of ideas. Here it looks like someone decided it was a nice fashion statement (or perhaps a good way to carry his lunch) and decided to wear it. The cheese is still hanging on, but the sausage . . . whoops. The explanatory shots you posted next are great. I especially like the second one. This shot is fantastic! Perfect POV to get the pizza on a chain look. Excellent detail and DOF. I agree with what has been written above. This is a marvelous shot, and you find the most extraordinary captures in the most ordinary of places.
