Hi, I'm Marilyn. Â I've been posting here on RR for a few years now and thought it was time to update my profile. Â It's been wonderful learning so much from the amazingly talented people here. Â I've had the chance to meet many in person and some have become great and good friends. Â Starting with a Kodak Brownie camera when I was about 7 or 8, moving up to Instamatics, Polaroids, then the Pentax K1000 that really got me on the way, I've been looking at the world thru a lens for a long time. Â Got the bug honestly; my dad was a photographer and gave me the gene!! Â Digital changed the world and I jumped in with both feet. Â You would've gone thru 100's of rolls of film in one day the way we can shoot and delete all day long. Â Progess...it can be awesome sometimes.
At any rate, RR rocks, the talent is over the top and I'm just gonna keep on shooting!!
Thanks for looking and keep those cameras rollin'!!
peace.....marilyn

By the title I thought it was a newspaper headline screaming about an earthquake in the area. Anyway, great detail, texture and reflectivity in this pic of the rocks and lake, Maz.

An amazing array of rocks, just like a sculpture or some soft pillows, the longer I look at them ... stunning display and presentation, BB

Another shot I thought I'd commented on---I know I did it in a letter or on the phone somewhere, but god, have I missed that many in your gallery??? Another of your potent rock shots, studying the contrast of big bold rocks against the smooth dark surface of water. The water's so dark, and the rocks are so bright; and then the rocks are sculpted while the water's smooth. And you've got reflections, not only of the rocks but of things behind them, and all that activity in the water itself (which we see only through ripples and deep hues). More minimal design mixed with real complexity. Beautiful seeing, Marilyn!
