Description

So where is the intrepid Commander, Davey Jones, of OZ? Why he’s out exploring of course. His father thought, being a merchant marine, it would be amusing to stick him with this moniker. Little did he know how prophetic it would be. So let’s check in our young commander and his co captain Flounder: Co captain Flounder with his hands steepled stares off into space seemingly oblivious. Commander Jones pilots the “Nautilus” effortlessly through the underwater canyons toward OZ. “What cha thinking about shell head?” quips Jones. “Listen you little fry, this happens to be a finely wrought helmet. I’m wearing it to protect my poor ole head from the damage I’m sure it would receive when your inept piloting causes us to crash into one of these canyon walls. But to answer your question, I’m wondering why, with the world coming to end, we are out joy riding when we should be at the Outpost?” “Fish breath you know I’ve been dying to see the fresh water river in the sea. How the heck was I supposed to know the world would end?” “The point is Commander,” The word commander dripping with sarcasm, “as our supreme leader of OZ, you aren’t supposed to be out joyriding satisfying your every whim!” “Darn Flounder even I’m entitled to a little R & R. Oz is SOOOOOO boring” “Just get us there in one piece Commander Nemo or should I say Ahab?” I’d like not to visit your locker anytime soon.” “Aye, Aye captain fish face, very funny.” Aside: Fresh water rivers do exist in shallow seas (mouth of the Amazon). Although no water except distilled is w/o salt, the less dense "fresh water" floats on the more dense sea water giving the impression that there is a river in the ocean. I was so digusted with the last image - I had to post another more to my liking.
