Description

Well after several years of threatening....I've finally installed Vue.........and haven't the faintest idea what I'm doing. 52 years old, you'd think I'd have more sense!!!...well I'll give it a go and hopefully get better....this is my first attempt, they will get bigger. I had to cheat, the prop blur is a seperate layer as I have no idea how to make that work in Vue yet..maybe a bit heavy on the blur? but I quite like this as a first attempt, I remember (and still have) my first Poser render...Poser4....I'm just happy this didn't turn out like that.....actually it was a scantily clad Posette on a space ship, so I'm very glad this didn't turn out like that!! I wonder what I could do with a scantily clad Victoria in a space ship......................

Hans- Joachim would be happy to see this..a suitably dusty atmosphere.so the blur is 'right' and great POV. So, playing with VUE,.. then old dogs can learn new tricks?? As for scantily clad females on spaceships, that's old dogs and old tricks.... :o)

Great first pic! I'm still trying to learn Vue myself. It just takes practice, or so everyone tells me! LOL

Very good indeed. The prop looks fine. Next step: add some details to the ground.

YES,YES.YES!!! So you have taken the plunge at last :) Well done mate, this is way better than my first attempt at Vue was. For outdoor scenes, land sea and air you just can't beat it. It's a bit of a learning curve to start with if you are used to Poser but once you get used to the basic layout it all falls into place. You'll never want to go back now. As Tryphon say's... Welcome to the club :)

Good luck on the Vue. I find it tough to learn new apps. I keep telling myself I am going to learn Cararra, but keep going back to Bryce.

Sheesh! Is this Vue? I thought it was a photo from WWII, North Africa, snad storm blowing up, getting engines started so the plane won't start wobbling and moving in the wind (and, sand in motion is definitely heavier than wind). Then you spoiled it all for me with this story about Vue! Excellent work, Neil! I have Vue and made an outdoor image or 2 with it, but, learning curve and too little time... and a subject not so acceptable at R-osity (execution by cannon, from the Sepoy revolt... er, I posted it elsewhere). Now, my dear chap, how will you out-do yourself with such a great start? :-)

Always good to try new software. Vue seems to do a good job of landscapes and skies. Need to get back into the 3d soon. Thanks for some inspiration.
