Description

These lilacs are in memory of friend to many on R'osity, Susan (Blush). Susan lost her long and courageous battle with cancer. She never gave up hope, or her joy at seeing a flower bloom. Her beautiful spirit and floral photos will be remembered and very missed. I hope she and her husband, Danny, are together in a lilac-scented world of beauty and love. Carol

Carol, let me just say you are such a blessing to so many in the gallery. This lovely dedication you created in memory of Susan is truly breathtaking. She was a wonderful lady that touched the lives of everyone she met. My belief is that Susan and Danny are together again and walking the streets of gold in Heaven.

beautiful dedicaton !! Words are sometimes distant and not always able to express our sorrow for the loss of a loved one, a friend! Sometimes silence is the best answer to our prayers and heart .... will be recorded forever in our memory strength, courage ... and the word forever friend Susan! When my back pain I remember her, his courage, his fight .... then I see that my pain was gone! Thank you Lord Almighty for letting us live with someone as wonderful and inspiring! Take care of her please! Fatima Morganahope Brazil

I'll be back for more in my next visit (probably tonight), but I wanted to come here for at least one, now. And this was the one I chose. I didn't know Susan, but felt her presence and love and loving energy here. And I know she was loved by many, and I was heartbroken to hear she had passed from her long battle with cancer. I can't think of a more beautiful tribute to her and her heart and spirit than this, Carol. It's consummate and sumptuous. I have to use superlatives because your normal flower fare is both those things. But here it swirls up from a beautiful, almost carved-in-marble base to the exquisite bouquets atop. The top blossoms-out, but it clusters itself into smaller 'families', like a gathering of families who stay together out of love. The base of the lilacs---the flowers have abstract elements in them, almost etched, almost carved with delicate lines out of a very beautiful stone. And its lighter violet hues give way to the deeper violet hues which band their way through the upper half, through the bouquet. The detailing in the upper half is gorgeous, little worlds one after the next, shining out at us from inside a mass of family after family. And, as you do, you have the same flowers in the background, as afterthoughts, as resonations or echoes of the original flowers. Like the flowers' souls, resonating through the cosmos. Your backgrounds are as beautiful as your 'subjects', in many ways. And the green lower half---the background---is like a valley or an inverse rainbow made of greens; that swoops down and embraces the bouquet, and swirls in and out of the bouquet. The image is sensuous, deep, beautiful, and a heart-throbbing bow of love and embrace to Susan, who I hope sees this and can exult in how you captured the soul of flowers, which were so much a part of her vision as an artist, and I assume as a person. A beautiful dedi, effulgent and blooming everywhere; and yet contained around its heard as a brood to its' mother. Exquisite gift for Susan's eternal light.
