Description

Adjusting to the operation of my new slide scanner and showing you that I did listen to your comments, this was the next slide in the box to last nights posting. This slide was taken in June 1966. This guard is on duty in The Citadelle of Quebec, a military installation located atop Cap Diamant, adjoining the Plains of Abraham, in Quebec City, Canada. This citadel is part of the historic fortifications of Quebec City and is a National Historic Site of Canada. The Citadelle has been the home station of the Royal 22e Regiment of the Canadian Forces since 1920. In addition to its use as a military installation, it has been also an official residence of the Queen in Right of Canada and the Governor General of Canada since 1872, who by tradition resides there for several weeks out of the year. There is a wonderful military museum inside the walls and a visitor can watch the changing of the guards during the summer months. On Canada Day, July 1st, the regiment parades through the streets of old Quebec City, a sight to be seen. Info from Wikipedia. Zoom only helps a little. Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

See, it was worthwhile to do more, besides which no one else will ever do it, largely because they will not know the story and so will be less inclined to bother with them.

Pretty good Dana ,looks like you will be scanning all winter. It could still do with a touch more tweaking on the colour it looks a bit cold.

Great to see, and it must be like a treasure chest to you to go through all your slides. I recently came across a large envelope I had and inside where plastic sheet that had the negative insert where I had kept all my negatives so nice and neat I just sort of laughed and thought well what do I do with all these now. But I will keep them for no you never know. Good luck with the scanner and have fun.
