Description

One of my favorite barns, in one of my favorite towns. I went on a 11 mile bike ride this morning in the Smoky Mountains in an area called Cades Cove, it was beautiful until the last mile then I got drenched by rain but it was worth it and some great exercise. This was a barn I stopped at on my drive home. You can see the smoky look in the background that is what gives the Smoky Mountains National park its name.

That is a eye catcher of an old barn Lynell. My slide scanner only cost $100 and it has a negative function as well as photos up to 5x7. Thus thinking out load!

This is a wonderful image. Love the artwork on the barn. It would be interesting to see another image with a smaller barn and more Smoky Mountains.

A wonderful recording. Wonderful lush green, rustic structures of the weathered barn and a great work of art as eyecatcher and the fog in the background ..... I love this image! Of the sharpness up the natural blur by the mist... Excellent!!!

another image I'd love to see large. You get very fine detail in this, even from a distance. You're using a standard low ISO, and it gives the image a dark moody feeling; like we're approaching something precious and hidden. Still, fine detail shows through everywhere; your composition allows us to see it from two sides and still remain poetic; you're low pov---somewhat "down" and in the grass---gives us the feeling that the barn is almost on a pedestal, with all that grass beneath it. And the sky above is misty and gentle. Another sensitive, detailed and delicate photo of a barn from you, with real detail and dignity. WHen I make rounds in the galleries, I try to comment on 'representative' samples in each---it's hard, because I can't do them all (because my comments are so long!): So I have to choose but a few. So just know that I'd choose many others in your gallery, if I could stay here all night---but these will stand for them all. You do lovely, loving work; and I hope to be back again before too much more time. Thanks for dropping by my gallery, I much appreciate it.

It's to my heart's delight - do I need to say more ? simply marvellous, I still wish, they would give our barns in OZ the same sort of treatment ... BB
