Description

My current work in progress, the Soviet military payload that was sent up on the first launch of the Energia heavy lift rocket. It crashed into the ocean, but was announced as a successful suborbital test, I am currently working on the whole Energia family, including the advanced unflown versions.

Nice model work there. I did an image and uploaded it on the 17th of this past July called "Rocket Ranch". I had the Energia/Buran as part of the rocket lineup. I modeled the Energia "M" and a hypothetical (Six and eight booster concepts) but didn't have them in my lineup. I remember the day Polyus was launched (15may87) and I saw grainy footage of a pre launch photo on the evening news. I thought then it was the beginning of a new space race. In any case, nice work. I especially like the texturing and detailing such as the Russian words Polyus and Mir.
