On the definition of perfect we'd not likely agree
Because what is perfect to you, might not be perfect to me
But a flexible ideal, I believe we could yet conceive
That could still be perfect, but for each be unique.
But if we're speaking perfection, I would wish one for me
That I would be, a lovely young woman raising a family
Perhaps a handsome boy for him, a little girl, a smaller version of me
One on the way, and another, well, we would just have to see.
I'd be more patient, more fit, and healthy, as I was in my youth
Not like I am now, feeling my age, a little long in the tooth
Nor would I need more professional medical repairs
no more stitches, pins, and titanium screws, not even coloring my hair.
But enough of my life, and what I wish for me
Everyone's children would be born healthy and as happy as can be
And the only thing they'd be shouting is: Mommy, Daddy, Watch me!
For there would be no more cancer or any other disease - Now that would be perfect to me!
There would be no more wars, we'd find ground we could meet
Because we would acknowledge, on all things we will not agree
And corruption of any form and at any level, would also be extinct
Could we agree it would be a good start towards perfection, what do you think?
