Description

More Moenkopi. Aside from the altitude (about 7600 feet above sea level), I really enjoyed walking around at Capitol Reef. It's an oddly intimate landscape. Going to the Grand Canyon, for example, what you want to see is all "out there." WAY out there. It isn't anything you can touch, unless you're prepared for some pretty strenuous hiking. At Capitol Reef I got to see the different layers, touch the smooth eroded walls, walk on an ancient mud bed. Good stuff! :)

Nice textures and shadows. The funny thing is that you can easily imagine this is a view from an airplane "out there." WAY out there.

It's a cool texture. It's textures like this when used as a ps softlight filter that gives that extra special touch.

The most interesting thing about this rock formation is the origin of it's name and where it is found! And of course the ease of access for you Tara! Hadn't seen it in that light before!

I have this mental picture of you following the line of the cliffs around, feeling them all up and down and pronouncing them most satisfactory to the touch...LOL! Beautifully composed capture of this wonderful visually tactile surface!

What lovely textures and color in this surface! A beauty - sharp and clear, and I love the angles here! Great capture, Tara!

Yes, it is much more personal, I like that! I would be drawn into looking for fossils on those surfaces.
