Very well done Mark, as this is another capture I've enjoyed very much. The lighting and shadows really stand out here and the sky appears very dramatic when contrasted with the surroundings. The patterns of the structures really caught my as well as the reflections.

And starkly contrasted to the first image, this is all about straight lines framing that dark and malevolently roiling sky, clearly the focus as indicated by the watching gull...wonderful and subtle work, Mark!

Excellent capture a nice sci fi feel apart from the bird looks almost like a space ship nice shot!

Love that bird on one leg on the street lamp, which almost looks like an UFO coming to town :-) Love that shot and the clear building with the sun reflecting in it.

What a contrast! Minimalist indeed.

wow; at first i couldn't tell what that was on the right; it almost looked like a ufo; then is saw it's just a bird on a lightpole. me and my strange mind. but yet another of your oh so wonderful city shots!!

VERY BEAUTIFUL

A marvelous composition of repetitive geometry and contrast, sharply depicted against the ominous roiling clouds And, this is first time I've seen you incorporate a UFO into your marvelous works, Mark. Maybe others know what that aerial object represents flying in from the right, but to me, it is something not of this world. Finally, I hesitate to be critical at this juncture, but I don't see how this qualifies as a mono, with those blue black clouds up above. Or is the blue actually a dark gray?

What a fun composition! I love the bird, and my brain wants to look at it sitting there on that truncated lamp post, but my eye is drawn to the brilliant reflection on the building. Terrific image ... lots of eye movement and smiles!
