Description
Look closer, my little ones. I'm sure I dropped my contact lens at this very spot.
Captured 5/10/10, on the shoreline of beautiful Legg Lake, in the beautiful Whittier Narrows Recreation Area in South El Monte, California.
If you don't ZOOM, then you're cheating yourself.
Goslings are difficult to shoot from afar because they are just too fuzzy, lacking the sharp patterns and texture of the adults.
Pozegnanie, and enjoy yourself, it's later than you think.

It's probably a much safer place to raise them than the spots some of these pick around here; there's a couple that raise their brood every spring on the freeway offramp that I take for work; you'd think that the cars and trucks whizzing by would clue them in, yet they do it every year. It's not unusual to come to a complete stop while the silly geese walk their babies across the busy road. I'm always afraid I'm going to see some that weren't fast enough, but I haven't yet... Wonderful capture of these much more sensible geese and their soft downy offspring walking in the goose-friendly lake grass, Harry!
