Description


Charcoal Grilled Salmon Fillets with Cheesy Mashed Potatoes... Num num num num num num..... The salmon fillets were marinated for about 8 hours in Italian dressing, then sprinkled liberally with Emeril's Essence and Fiorello's Jack Stack rub. Grilled over medium-hot coals for about 8 minutes; turned twice. I love weekends. I'm a bit of a 'purist' when it comes to grillin' - I grill over charcoal, or natural wood after burning it down to coals. I'm not a big fan of grills that use gas or propane - although I've had some awesome meals grilled this way. I'll stop torturing you now... Just a bit of photo fun in between renders.. I have several things cooking (besides salmon, I mean) along with Page 13 of the T.N.A. Girls' adventures. I've really noticed a drop-off in comments and activity lately. Could be all the changes here at Rendo, or it could just be because everyone's out enjoying the summer. Hopefully things will pick back up in the fall. We'll be heading for South Dakota in September, so look for some photos of the Badlands, Rushmore, Crazy Horse, etc. We'll probably also stop in Winfield KS. Jo's only living uncle lives there, and is not in good health, so she wants to see him one more time while he's still around. Well, enough of my rambling! Hope everyone is having a great weekend! MMMMMMMMMMMMM-MMMMMMMMMMM! Looks AND sounds good Rod! I LOOOOOOOOOOOOVE salmon, though I don't think I've ever had it marinated like that. I usually like it broiled with a bit of Dijon mustard on top. YUMMY! And those taters! MAN! Those sound great too. Wish I could taste this picture, LOL. Thanks for sharing buddy.

I never grill over coals or use any fuel other than Creosote. I have acres of it & some mesquite as well. Burns hot & adds tastes so wonderful to my chicken or fish. Corn, potatoes... Okay. I'm off for dinner! Nom! ")

I'm having to mop up the drool on my keyboard. I love a good grilled salmon filet and that one looks delicious. We vacationed in Vancouver one year and practically lived off salmon the whole time. If I'm lucky, I'll dream in taste-o-vision tonight.

I've been to S. Dakota,.... about 35 years ago. saw mount rushmore, I don't have any pictures from being there - I would appreciate it a hell of a lot more now that I'm older. I saw a thing on pbs about a month ago - they said mt. rushmore is Man's biggest sculpture ever made..... the thing I liked the best in S.D. was BEAR COUNTRY USA - LOL they have a park where you drive through in your car and bears are laying, sitting and walking all over the place - you might want to check that out unless your chicken - lol .... oh, I have one of those basket cooking tools up at the cabin - never thought about puting anything other than bread in there - I was told it was for toasting.... I think we put hot dogs in it once or twice, but that's about it.
