I realize that I post to many alligator photos and many will not like the looks of the out of focus top half of this posting. But most alligators are green or grey in color with moss and algae growing on their backs. This photo taken at the Atlanta aquarium, Georgia, US. I just wanted to show all of you, the beautiful markings and patterns that the younger alligators have that do not live in muddy and swampy conditions.
