Ok, just one more after this and I'll stop this nonsense. Well at least for a while - the gnat has had his blood and is sated. I really do hope you all are having fun with your art and not taking yourselves too seriously - chances are we are only going this way once so enjoy yourself just remember - do no harm. I agree but last I knew L. Sprague De Camp and Lin Carter had the rights to the character. I'm probably on the edge of copyright infringement as is.

To me, this looks like a young, coming of age, Conan. I obviously, from my own writings, love coming of age stories. The expression on Conan's face says to me that he is not completely sure of the outcome of the battle. He appears to have that youthful expression of doubt about his abilities as he grows into them. The mechanical aspects of the scene are fabulous. The feet pointed downward, the hands wrapped around the sword, He even appears to have slid backward on the horses back as it reared upward. And the texturing, probably added in postwork, is amazing. This is a very good scene.
