Description
Naburn Lock, York
Panorama taken today using 5 separate photographs and then stitched together finally passing it through Photomatix Pro for tonal enhancement.
Taken with a Nikon DSLR 3100 using a polarised filter,

Yes it is a working lock for pleasure boats and canal boats.

Love the canals here in Derbyshire. Great work, though probably pushing the compression to get such a large image under 500kb. I see some jpg artifacts on full zoom, just a small nit on an ambitious pic. Congrats on the staff pick for "Last week in the gallery".

The original looks fine it was a big job to reduce both the size and increase the compression to get beneath the limits, one of the prices we pay unfortunately, many thanks for your kind comment.
