Description
Many thanks for taking a look at my last image and a warm thank you to all those who took the time to comment, I was surprised to say the least when I was notified that it made the LWITG here at Renderosity
Picture taken with a Nikon DSLR 3100 and processed through Photomatix Pro, many thanks for viewing, Rob
Just noticed some colour changes to the sky after posting I think I will have to reduce images still further as the compression is playing havoc with detail in my image compared with the originals. I will leave this post and work on how to preserve quality in my images before I post any further.

I would guess post work causing the sky to look bad. seems as though you used a HDR effect. if you can remove noise then refocus, it may improve the sky

Hi Richard thanks for your advice it's appreciated, found that if I reduce the image size in Photomatix and only post process in Paintshop Pro for the borders it seems to much improve the image and I don't get the jpeg aberrations or the colour changes. I'll try another upload tomorrow if I get chance and check the results then. Thanks again

Wonderful place and capture! I like the essence of the postworking - in using the HDR effect the sky around the building has been feathered too much in the program. If there is a manual adjustment (slider control) for it then you would eliminate this problem. Magic wand tool used first to select the sky part before bringing in a different exposure should also work. I often use complete manual layer mask techniques instead which are time consuming but effective.

I really like how this image feels almost 3D and draws you into the picture

I like the way you use HDR, obtaining fresh colors.
