yep, that's my ugly mug in the thumb.. snicker. lol, i cropped the photo in which i was holding my new nephew at the time and also in the pic was my sis, bro in law and a older nephew. the shot was taken from the timer it had. so it's a self portrait in a sence. i was about 50 yrs old at the time of photo. thanks for checking in.. we have a yearly hot air balloon classic in our fine city, Memorial Day weekend. bummer thing is i have not had a camera since 2006 and i'm using a shot from a past event, i really like the pov on this shot. i so love taking pictures and do have some pretty good shots, really wish i could get a new killer camera. just like Dana Pommet (a friend here) photography is a passion for me. i also must have 200 or more pics from at least three years of this event. one of the crowd favorites is the night glow in which i could not get a good enough shot for my liking to post for future images. i do not often post pics as you know my friends, but i hope you all enjoy this shot. the 512 limit really killed this clear and sharp picture. and as always many thanks for your comments and kind friendships. love you all. lol Steve i also finally got around to adding my profile after 7 years, i tried a few times my first year and never figured it out as a novice, got a wild hair today and did so.

What I like are the silhouettes. Very subtle and clever! I actually have a killer camera, a Canon 5D, but for the record, I recently purchased one of the new mirrorless cameras (a Sony) for a fraction of the cost of the 5D and lens, and the not only is it smaller and lighter - so I can just stick it in my pocket - the quality I am getting is incredible.

Very cool! Great shot and perspective. They do a balloon fest out by the Poconos too. The silhouettes look cool through the balloon.

Well, it good to 'see' you at last, Steve! A dapper fellow, indeed! This is a great shot, bro - I love those hot-air balloon festivals! They just had one early in August, but I wasn't able to make it, unfortunately. Maybe next time.. From what I've seen, you are as talented with a camera as you are with Poser, buddy! I've loved photography since I was a kid - my dad got me interested many years ago while he was still in the Air Force - long story, but his legacy lives on through my love of photography.

Nice to see you Steve! :) I love the balloon races and festivals. I used to live out by Chatfield Dam back in the early 80's and there would be balloons out there every weekend. We'd often get awakened by balloons drifting over the house and the sky would be full of them all along the foothills. They're so colorful and there's always some fun ones too. This is a really great image and well done. Thanks for sharing! Your friends like your photos...so don't be shy about posting them.
