Description

One of the slides that I have converted from my brief stay at the Naval Station Guantanamo Bay, Cuba in August 1966. This was the outside movie theater. The white chairs were for the officers. Not the best quality photo but it brought back some very good memories and I thought it was a unique photo. A Kodak 400 slide camera. Do not bother to zoom! Thanks for stopping by, taking a look and for all your previous favs and comments. They are very much appreciated. Dana

Oh my word! A terrific photo, but it gives me conflicting feelings. I can no longer go to the cinema as the soundtracks have become insufferably loud, and I don't like being shut in the dark with other people! This outdoor venue solves the latter problem, but I feel sorry for those living close!

As always, power is accompanied by priviledge, a situation I dislike. For example in Edmonton's Jubilee Auditorium, a section of the best seats in the house (first balcony, front row) are reserved every day for every performance for the Lieutenant-Governor, and they are rarely used, always empty. Anyway, great shot Dana! I suspect Guantanamo might look a bit different to you today, LOL!

You are right Dana, a very cool photo and pretty good quality considering how old the slides were. I like the way the chairs were set up. Any particular reason why the officer chairs were at that particular spot?
