Description

Probably had you wondering with the title but I saw an eagle cruising this river the past 2 mornings hunting for breakfast. Huge and majestic, totally awesome! And wouldn't you know it as soon as I packed my camera there he was! Not sure when I'll get another chance to shoot this area. Hopefully when the leaves change! Amazingly this shot is hand held. There is no IS on this lens and this image is sharper than yesterdays with a tripod and this is a combination of 3 exposures! The sun almost burned a hole through it at f:8, but that seems to be the magic number for clarity! I did catch the last of the mist before the sun burned it off. Have a sunny day! FULL VIEW RECOMMENDED

A sun-drenched beauty with interesting lighting artifacts.Don't know where this is, but it reminds me a lot of the Rogue River here in southern Oregon, where we took our grandson on a jet boat trip last week - will post pictures soon...

No way to avoid it in this shot! I took one series of shot with it out of the frame and they were no where as good as this one!

Put a rabbit on your head and I am sure the Eagle will be more receptive to your advances. 8^) I love this shot anyway. I am so puzzled by the lack of boaters and tubers.
