Description

Something not quite right here? The Hawk, the Curtiss P-36 or Model 75, is another of those "modern" aircraft that were already obsolete by the outbreak of WW2. Exported Hawks fought in defense of France and afterwards captured machines came under Vichy French and Finnish control (the Germans also provided the Finns with captured Norwegian examples). In Asia, Hawks were operated by the Netherlands East Indies and by the RAF (as the "Mohawk") in India and Burma and with some variants also used in small numbers by China, Thailand. The Hawk 75 looks strangely familiar because many aspects of its design re-appeared in the more famous P-40 Warhawk Now that the Hayabusa "falcon" is close, I've gone back to putting the original Hawk together. Modelled in Shade 10.5

Looking good Brian, as you say 'a lot of theatre / paint scheme possibilities'. Saw one at Legends with Rob, 'performs' every bit as well as the P-40. I'll look forward to this one too.....
