Description

I had lunch at a lovely restaurant on the first floor of a hotel overlooking a beautiful golf course in the north of Bournemouth. There were few other people, and I was struck by the elegance of this lady at a nearby table lunching with her son. As we left I asked her if I could take her photo, and when I told her what I would do with it she remarked that she wasn't sure if she wanted to become notorious. I told her that it is never too late for notoriety! I have posted the original on Flickr which is much kinder than this mono, because that is where her son will look to see the result. Oh my, yes. I like both versions, but for very different reasons. I can see why you wanted her son to see the color version, but the b&w is like wine ... there's truth at the bottom of the bottle. Wonderful portrait!
