Description

After the dinner and the required meeting with the parents, Hugh had gone home and Bernadine had a little talk with her parents to see if they approved of her going out with Hugh for a date. They had a little chat, and the initial responses were very positive, but her mother said she'd still like to talk it over with her father before they make an "official" decision. Dad on the other hand, simply smiled and said, don't worry, it's just a parental formality. With that out of the way, Bernadine decided before turning in, she would relax a bit by soaking her feet in the hot tub for a while. She headed outside rather unaware of the beautiful full moon that had risen; but was more aware that the warmth of the day had gone away and the coolness of a spring night had settled in once again. It wasn't too long though before she realized it was awfully bright outside, and she became captivated by the beautiful spring moon. She seemed to have a thousand questions on her mind, but the most pressing were about the feelings that were developing about Hugh. If her sister had only been home that weekend, she'd have someone to talk to about those feelings. She didn't feel comfortable about talking about this with her mother, she seemed to have forgotten that her mother had once been her age and asked herself those same questions too. But as she sat there losing track of the time, her mother came out, asking her what she was still doing up so late as she had to work in the morning. Bernie admitted to her mom about having so many things on her mind, and simply not knowing what they meant, or how to deal with them. Her mother walked over, sitting down next to her and explained, you're young and Hugh is your first real boyfriend. You shouldn't be surprised to have so many feelings, nor to be so uncertain about what to feel; it's only normal; this is all a new experience for you. And though you many not be thinking about this, but if this relationship reaches an end, realize that very few people will every find their true partner with their first boyfriend. But it is an experience you use to find that person you will spend your life with. But use each opportunity to get to know more about Hugh, his likes, dislikes, ambitions, dreams, and goals - and in every aspect of his life, not just now or in the next few years. You don't want to commit to someone over infatuation, but because you truly love them; and that takes time to develop and cannot be rushed. But if you ever have questions about what you're feeling, you know you can always come to me; and you father too. After all, your father can give you the man's perspective, so you might understand more about Hugh's thoughts and feelings too. Bernadine thanked her mother, and said she really appreciated her coming out, she felt a little less lost. She leaned over and hugged her mother and said she had best get to bed though, tomorrow will be a busy day. They both got up and went inside, Bernadine's mom stopping her before she entered her room to inform her that both her and her father liked Hugh and felt comfortable with her going on a date with him. Bernie smiled and thanked her mom for the news, said goodnight and turned in with a smile on her face. Thank you for stopping in tonight and following up on the story. It is much appreciated!

I don't know in what kind of soupe Bernie stuk her legs in. But if you had turned down the opacity level of that surface, it has been more like water. Maybe the story was to much in your mind to pay attention to this.

I know was a little short on time, and rendering this was taking a while so I sort of let it slide. Oops!

I know I'm just a guy, but I don't remember the concept and prospect of dates, especially first ones, being this traumatic or dramatic. Like she's going to marry this guy without ever playing the field, just to test the waters. Anyway, great image of anticipation and concern, and kudos on the cool story of teenage angst. And, how about visiting my gallery sometime.
