Description
Captured 5/26/11, in the underwater viewing tunnel of the beautiful Great Hall of the Pacific in the beautiful Aquarium of the Pacific in beautiful Long Beach, California.
This was taken prior to my visit to the tunnel on 6/21/11.
Most ZOOM worthy.
What a carefree life these creatures lead, cavorting and cruising about at all hours of the day, with no clothing, shelter, food, crime, pollution, crooked politicians, unemployment, overcrowding, parking, utilities, medical care, hygiene, rent, noise, fees, renewals, taxes, travel, weather conditions or computer problems to worry about. Other than that, it could get a bit boring and repetitious for them due to a lack of variety.

Beautiful underwater scene!

The sunrays make striking vertical counterpoints to the amorphous green of the algae on the rocks, all of it combining to create a wonderful environment for these sea creatures; beautiful capture, Harry!

the lighting is almost surreal in this quiet shimmering view, with greens that seem almost day-glo...a beautiful impressionistic capture of the magic of underwater light, with the shark well-caught between the rocks, and with those beautiful diagonal light-rays cutting through the water. And the water-surface is a strange inverted sky, with deep blue abysses beneath it. A very enticing capture, like a dream...I wonder if that child from the previous shot saw this scene---with these colors and lights---if he/she would've stared a lot more? It's entrancing. Fine work with what I assume is a difficult subject to capture. And those diagonal light rays are beautiful finishing touches. Well I'll be back soon, for more (I've done 12 now, in the last 2 mornings, all a pleasure). But I almost made it to the most current image---which as you know I rarely do. Next time I'll try to get straight to the top, including that latest fence-pattern montage! As always, a pleasure to be here Harry. Hope you're holding up in the long heat you have out there. It sure hasn't slowed up your art...
