Going out with a big bang - an explosive finale, if I may say so .... a lot of dogs are being picked from the pound, usually the day after and birds will take another breather ;P Fine capture, Mark BB

Beautiful image. I like the strong contrast. The city lights are like extensions of the fireworks. Excellent capture!

Oh my, is this impressing to see, Mark. It seems like the lights in the city down there, are spread out fireworks sparks.

I'm gonna have to come back for more of those blacks and whites, and for others; but for now I come back to your recent offerings and end with fireworks. (The right way to end, right?) What struck me about this when it went up was the clarity, the spindly clarity of all the lights, like they were drawn-on or done digitally. It's a big circle with a mangy head of hair, and the strands are so clear. Fine night work, Mark, I really like this. And you got one of the moments in fireworks where everything is a single "entity," all the lights form a single image. And all the rest is night. You'd mentioned that you and your friends were thinking of ways to cast that M-80 guy into Valhalla. Lol, I understand. It's one reason I don't walk the streets too much on July 4th night---too many incidents like that one. (Boom! Right there on the sidewalk. It's lovely.) Your fireworks series was delightful, as all you series are, and this was the perfect image to end it with. And with that, I'll now go to sleep...(Right! I've been sleeping for 2 days now! Freaking flu bugs. They come over, set up a resort in my intestines, invite their friends, order out French food---on my tab, btw---and eat and drink while I sit here feeling like I've been hit by a truck. I don't need more rest, but if I don't get it, I'll fall over. So....) I think I did about 10 images. I hope to be back again soon. Wonderful journeys and captures of humanity, Mark. Really love what you do.
