Description
One more, he said... one more raid on British shores and then we can all retire rich and fat.
But the English had been waiting, they sprung their trap and now a lone warrior is left. He'd made his way back to the ship, but who was going to navigate it's way home?
Please have a look in Zoom? Thanks for the Peek!

You deserve high praise for this one! I'm so amazed at the details, in the furred boots, the chainmail, the helmet...just incredible detail that I hope everyone sees, especially zoomed. I love the emotion of a beaten man overcome by tragedy, his pose says it all. And the background is beautiful. All in all a perfect render..and I can't wait for more! XOXOXOXOXO Jane

Beautiful attention to detail and love the colours you've used to convey the story

Not a good position to be in. Looks like he's fought his last battle. You've done a masterful job with this, Seth! You can really feel his dispair.

Very cool story and scene...awesome work!!!

Great atmosphere! Love the colour tones and composition. He looks like he's crest fallen that he survived while his companions all now feast in the halls of Valhalla.

I am at a loss for words. the only thing that comes to mind is Manowar's album, Gods of War. and if he survives the trip, what does he say to the wives and mothers, sons and daughters, about his comrades? How can he sing of the glory of their deaths when in fact, their deaths were because of a trap, where is the glory in being trapped like an animal to be slaughtered? Would it be better for him to drift off to unknown seas, never to return home to face them....

You are always great at conveying emotion through your works Seth....and here a sense of forlorn or hopelessness!. The background is spectacular, especially zoomed.. perfect POV!

Superb! You really convey the mood with his body and the lighting. Excellent background scene for this and excellent render and light. That "one more time" often hailed by the greedy is usually their undoing.

Brilliant Seth.

I commend Bartholomew Roberts for a navigator. You'll wait most of a hundred years but he's a navigator. Good luck and God Speed.
