I sometimes think the neglect is beneficial to some plants. I should know I neglect the garden wholesale, but still get blooms :) I think you are forgiven for the neglect Andrea, as you have been quite green fingered elsewhere in the garden.

Wow, that has an awful lot of petals crammed into that one bloom. What a beautiful colour!! I guess you must take such good care of things overall that a little "neglect" for a season won't really affect things too much.
