Hughes House

This is a corner of Francis and Annie Hughes' bedroom. I particularly liked the rocking chair's shadow on the wall.
We were here in 2011, but didn't get to tour the house or the nearby lighthouse. They're open six days a week, and we were here on a Tuesday, which is the only day they close. It was nice to be able to fill in that blank!

It does take you back in this atmosphere of long ago, with all those colors and the fine details, like the photo, the crocheted doilies, the light, as well as those beautiful wicker rocking chair.
