Description

The famous Dobbs Ferry from New York has branched out to San Francisco Haye's Valley district. This is an absolutely exquisite resteraunt, with a fine dining experience at very bang for buck price. Now that does not mean cheap, but it does mean great value. After a 14 hour day in the lab I figured I would treat myself.... I wound up treating myself three times in the two weeks I was there! Now I never, ever eat pork - the thought of pig factory farms is just so totally revolting to me, but something just drew me to the thought of dark sugar braised pork tenderloin with a Ca microbrewed Union Jack British India Pale Ale. Perhaps it was the pure decadance of the thought, the breaking of self imposed rules while on the road. Whatever. It was as exquistie as it looks, even more so. If you are in the area, you must check out Dobbs Ferry... the resteraunt, not the adjoining bar, which is much more pedestrian... trust me on that. And ya, that's a copy of Digital Photography mag grabbing the left hand corner. When I am dining alone, I always bring something to read, Pathetic as that may seem, my mind can never just shut off, especially after a long day at the scope.

MMMMMMMM. I love the way the light glints off that glass of delicious looking beer. Dobbs should use this for their advertising. Great shot. Nice darks and the perfect amount of light.

Oh my........ That photo should be in Fine Dining, or a top-shelf travel magazine... It looks absolutely scrumptious! A delicious shot, Roxy! You've captured the calm elegance of a relaxing time with a great meal and good reading. With only a few exceptions, I'm kinda like a dog as far as food is concerned...... Put it in front of me, and I'll eat it - as long as it's not moving around under its own power....

OOhh that looks good. I love pork, but yeah, the factory farms are so horrible. I hope after we move we can buy some free ranged pork and beef. Glad you enjoyed the restaurant, with long days like that you deserve treats!
