Who said that sex is not beautiful??? This is a first class capture Andrea, even the textured wood is wonderful!

You could definitely produce a fine book of the intimate mating habits of insects... sold in a brown paper bag (chuckle)... it is quite amazing how you have the gift not only in observation of these moments but in capturing the detail in high quality, in many cases blink and it's all over... I can imagine the smaller subjects can be quite a challenge.

It looks so intense, then they fly off still coupled up! A Top Class shot! That clasp looks a neck breaker!

I have seen a few of these but they don't stay still long enough to get a decent picture.

In all of the copulation positions that I'm aware of, this is one of the weirdest, and in no way would I ever engage in such a bizarre position. This would make even the Marquis de Sade blanch. And, laying eggs so soon after being impregnated? Talk about speed! Forget all this nine months business. Other than that, Andrea, a capital capture of the lovers at the height of their passion.

I am always in awe of your ability to first see, then react, then take a picture, of such things. I don't have an eye for small creatures, I guess. I've given up worrying about it, and will just enjoy yours! :)

What Tara said! You are the queen of the garden inhabitants, I think they show off for you...and this proved it, they laid next year's actors for you!

What Tara and Denise said. I can just hear them saying, "Wait till they see THIS one!" I've said it befoe, but you are the quick draw mistress of photography. But really, a few seconds followed almost immediately by egg laying? Talk about "Slam, bam, thank you ma'am"..
